It is extremely important to know where your files are going. Especially if you use a public computer (not your own private computer). There are documents that you don't want others to read. Even if you're the only one using the computer, it can be a nightmare to have five or six different versions of the same document all over the hard drive. You know you just changed that sentence and saved it but now somehow you are looking at an old document.
