Advanced (only if you need to do this):
If you want to see which program is associated with an extension on your computer, you can open a window on your computer and choose the Tools menu and then select Folder Options...

This will open a new window and you should click on the File Types tab. Once you see the window below on your computer - you can select an extension and see what program is associated with the extension.
You can change it, but be sure it is a program that supports that particular extension. For instance, you might want to change the default program that opens when you click on a .mp3 file.

Hit the OK button to close the window.
